Bienvenidos! Welcome to term 1.
This term is exciting, as we will be learning more greetings and different ways of responding to ¿Cómo estás?, such as:

Term 3
In term 3 we are going to be listening to some wonderful stories from the Spanish-speaking world! This means, stories from countries where people speak Spanish.

La primera (first): Our first story is a modern story written by Anna Witte.

La segunda (second): The second story is a folk tale from Argentina. This story is told as a song. It is very traditional to sing stories instead of reading. That is the way many people used to tell stories before books were as available as they are now!
Argentina está en Sudamérica.
La tercera (third): The third story is called “El conejo y la luna” and it is a traditional story from Mexico.
México está en Norteamérica.
Term 2
This term we continue to practise our vocab about fruit, by playing and learning the song “Me gustan las frutas”.

This term is special as we are learning about the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and her wonderful art. Keep posted to see the results of our work.
We are also learning about parts of the body and the family. We are also practising following different actions.

Welcome to term 1! We are so excited about continuing to learn Spanish this year. We will learn a lot of songs, play games, make some craft activities and learn many new words in Spanish!

This term we are learning about how people in the Spanish-speaking world celebrate Carnaval, learning the names of fruits, practising parts of the face and body and making sentences.
We are having fun making colourful masks and dancing.
We are also learning numbers to 20 in grade 1 and to 5o in grade 2.
